A man brought a bunch of rabbits to the park after school. He was selling them for "easter bunnies" I'm not sure how many he sold but David called him " a very smart business man"
Since Kaylee's rabbit had unexpectedly passed away after 4 months we let her buy a new baby.
She is so fluffly and we don't know the gender but for now she goes by Fluffernutter.

Happy Easter
We spent a great long weekend in Louisiana. We ate boiled crawfish, fried shrimp , and BBQ ribs. Not to mention candy from Easter baskets. We did other things too... We finally found the Shiver Me Timbers park open for play. After the old park burned down the kids have been anxious to try the new one.

Mia & Izzy
The other day I heard Mia taking pictures of our cat Izzy. She was playing the part of photographer/director perfectly.
She was praising her, moving to different angles. It was hilarious. Then today I downloaded the pics she took and I was amazed at what a great job she did. But I couldn't help but notice a theme here.

"Are you really taking my picture"
"Are you really taking my picture"
"Seriously, I'm so over this"
Easter Basket
I sent a little care package to Johanna this week

Inside was this super cute outfit that says "somebunny Loves Me" and the pants have a little rabbit on the rear. Also, included was a disposable camera, picture of us and a little toy.
It's always a chance that the box won't ever reach her but in the past our other 2 packages arrived. We got precious pictures from before Mia's trip. So we're hoping to get a few pics of her nannies and surroundings.
We got word today that one more thing was approved. We're one more step closer. Adoption is the game of approval!
Whatever it takes....whatever it takes!

and baby makes SIX!
and what a cute baby she is!!!
I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on those cheeks.
We were forced to decide on a name, due to a blank line on the Immigration Paperwork. So with much thought, prayer, asking for signs, internet research, and
5 kids & a husband who were unwavering....
WE Announce

Johanna means "God is Gracious" and Boy do we know this first hand.
These pictures were taken just about a month before her first birthday. I am so happy to have them.

This was our referral picture. It's estimated that this picture was taken at about 9 months. Pretty in Pink. I love the Sunbonnet Sue on her shirt. It inspired Mom and I to make her a quilt with Sunbonnet Sues. Mom just finished embroidering all the blocks and now it's my turn to assemble it.
Man, if you've been reading the blog awhile you know that the first title of the blog was "Table for Six" Then it changed to "Table for Seven"
Because once...long ago we went out to eat....A LOT! But now-a-days we go out once a week, for Sunday Lunch. We might go thru the drive thru one night a week....
So what's the name of the blog going to be now? Suggestions? I thought of Eight is Enough...but that just seems to be one of those things that you have to "eat your words" if you dare name it that.

Spring is here!
We had a great Saturday! There was almost nothing to do all day and we really enjoyed it!

The weather was so nice that I heard David tell the kids, This is the most perfect day....you are not going back in the house for at least 4 hours.

You may not be able to tell but I had just finished pressure washing the pool filters and the kids got the wand and were taking turns spraying each other while they jumped on the trampoline.
Just a few feet away the milkweed we planted a few years ago is in full bloom. The Monarch made good use of it today, and hopefully laid a few eggs for us.

Guess who this is for?

I was doing some shopping for Ski clothes and I happened on this super-soft cuddly rabbit. I've tried not to do much shopping but honestly it's very hard to resist.
I even went on the diaper bag aisle...After a few short minutes I got a little short of breath and my heart started racing. I think I may have had a mild panic attack. Diapers don't scare me and yes I've done this many times but really it was almost 8 years ago that I had a "baby" in the house.
The realization of this fact has been seeping in for the last few weeks. I'm getting very excited. I've got some excellent helpers and we are all ready.

Whooo's having a baby?
Sunday was such a nice day for a baby shower! We gathered together to celebrate a new little bundle of joy! Can't wait to meet our new Great-nephew.
Jenny (my sister in law) made these wonderful owl cookies. I am still amazed at their cuteness! Everyone LOVED them! And they tasted even better than they lookSuper-Cute diaper cake!
Jo's Party House cake....yum!
Darla (the grandma-to-be) made this awesome name banner. She used her cricut and got busy. I have (not so subtly) hinted that our new baby girl will need one also! She also made the diaper cake
The sign in and candy table
who knew there was such many different blue candies? My girl's favorite were the blue raspberry gummy bears
Thank you treat bags for the guests to fill before leaving.
Beautiful mom-to-be, Mallori
A clotheslines of very cute outfits!
My girls were great helpers! Kaylee handed the presents to the Mom-to-Be and Mia hauled them away. They made a great team!
